Hello,
My name is Jaydene and I am currently working on a new series of “Last Chance Salon” a programme by the makers of ‘Embarrassing Bodies’ Channel 4, which is dedicated to helping people correct Body, Skin and Hair disasters.
The programme aims to help people who have received some form of beauty treatment which has been more disastrous, rather than enhancing the appearance of an individual i.e. breast enhancements/reductions, nose correction surgery, chemical peels, face lifts, Botox, hair treatments, liposuction etc. This is where our team of qualified specialists would assess each case and correct whatever procedure went wrong.
We have already made one series of the programme, which went very well, with all participants feeling very happy with the after results.
I am currently casting people for the second series of the programme and was wondering if you would kindly be able to forward the attached information to your members and colleagues, and also post the information on your website to spread the word, so that anyone interested in applying can get in touch.
Please also forward this information to any family members or friends to which this programme may apply.
I would be very grateful if you would let me know if this will be possible by contacting me directly on: 0121 224 8463 or at j.rani@mavericktv.co.uk
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards,
Jaydene

Wouldlove to hear from open minded TV / TS / BI people in MK. I am a short fat ugly duckling that needs some interest and love.
Hello Girls,
I have also been searching to try and find friends in the Milton Keynes area, with little success so far. If you live in our MK and would like to make contact with my my email address is "kalbany.uk <at> live.co.uk", I will also try to remember to check back here for messages from time to time, but like you say Anais, there unfortunatly seems to be little activity here at the moment.

Hi, Helen/ Everyone (Anyone?),
I got excited when I found this site, having moved here only recently (Oct 2011) - but noone seems to have been on here since then!! I hope you update things Helen, and dont give up the ghost. And anyway, I'm wanting to know how you are doing! Its time for chapter 2....
Just where are you all?? In a city the size of MK there must be a fair few TS people????
To Kate: I hope you come back to check on whether you got a response. As above, I dont know the scene here, but here's one potential friend, should you come. And as it happens I do have a spare bedroom, so if you wanted to come and see how you felt about MK/ visit your family....well, its a maybe.
To Helen/ anyone involved: I noticed the mention of the 'brunch' at the Seclow Hundreds (a pub, I'm guessing...?) - but did it go ahead as a fortnightly thing? Was it a success?
Finally, I came across this site after yet another attempt to discover any support group/ site that actually promotes social contact within our community. Its a great irony that, now that we have the power of internet, communication between us as individuals - finding 'birds-of-a-feather', if you like - has never been harder. I realise that, yes, there's dozens - no, hundreds - of sites offering 'advice'. So if its gender politics, the law, employment rights etc etc, you can find all you could ever want. But the business of helping us all get in touch with each other seems to have been completely neglected. (It isnt everyone who starts out with likeminded friends - or, even if they do, actually keep them). And its very important, because TS individuals can become badly socially isolated, and, as we all know, bullied.
In the Eighties I remember there was one self-help group (so long ago I've forgotten the name - its long since gone) - that achieved this (matching up potential friends by geography and interests and so forth) by publishing a regular membership list (a list of user-names, area, interests, ages etc) and simply forwarding letters for a few pence each. So simple, but long gone. (Yes, I've tried to start Yahoo groups and so on myself. But it aint easy, and if not carefully moderated, they just get horribly spammed....). Any thoughts, anyone?
Love and best wishes X
Hi Helen, glad to see there is some trans prescence in MK...
I'm from Luton originally but have been living in Manchester for the past 10 years which has been great fun, but unfortunatley not very pratical anymore. As my family (who thankfully are fully supportive of my transition) all still live in Luton, it is getting more and more difficult to see them on any regular basis. I don't drive and its getting a little too much for my parents to travel to Manchester as often as they and I would like. So I have come to the decsion of moving back down south, however, as supportive as my family are there are just as many that would not appreciate me moving back to Luton and to be honest its not somewhere I would like to live either! So I am considering MK as a possible compromise.
I just want to know what MK is like for the trans community really? Also I am considering possibly flat/house sharing with someone to try and keep costs at a minimal and wondered if you might know anyone that might be looking for a flatmate/housemate?
Any help or advise you could provide would be greatly appreciate.
All the best
Kate
Hi Helen, Great Site, wish we had something better here in Dingley Dell.
Just saw the thing on here re. Kellan Carter, horrible!
No, Kellan, you are certainly NOT alone!
I don't live in MK - I'm in London - very informative to hear of your experiences, and sorry you had them.
Little by little we will resist this ignorance.
Good luck.
Nice site! Wel done! Personal and interesting!
As you guys are in MK - don't forget the Enigma Ball at Bletchley Park on 26th November 2011. Just google it for the webpage.
